So SAS have you ever considered the fact that France and the UK maybe connected economically and financially, so if France go to the wall the UK be affected badly? Or is SasLand is UK completely independent?

I completely agree that the UK and Europe are close economically (which shows a lack of foresight on the part of UK business leaders).
I'm just flagging up the tulip that you lot are in. Not me as my economic situation is not dependent on the EUro economy to any great extent.

Der Spiegel is a current affairs magazine not a newspaper, more akin to the Economist than the Mail.

This says more about the intellectual level of the British media than it says about German politics.

Actually, I have every economist "the world in ...." going back to 1998 or so, I enjoy reading them at the end of the year to see how far of the mark most of the predictions are.

The German version of Der Spiegel has amongst other things a sports section and a culture section that don't appear to get translated. So yes, they are different, it's a far more rounded offering. As I say they also do several other editions e.g. a history magazine, science magazine, kids edition etc.

My track record includes highlighting the need for UK politicians to ensure that the UK's interests are protected however the current debt crisis plays out and especially in the case of closer cooperation amongst the Eurozone countries, something that until recently everyone else seemed to think was an impossibility. Luckily for us Mr Cameron seems to agree with me.
