    Cricket - ODI

So, what the hell happened to the English ODI team? Is this the same bunch who played the Indians off the pitch in Blighty.

Are the conditions that much of an influence?

    Poor.

Like many other English teams, they are not as good as the press manages to convince the masses they are.

India are very strong at home. Flat pitches, no movement, start spinning after 12 overs...

If the same teams played in Eng next week, it can easily be 5-0 to eng...

Eng just took 3 wickets for no runs.

I dont understand this thing. English team has good fast bowlers, so they have fast and bouncy pitches. Indian team has good spinners, and their batsmen play spin quite well, so they have those kind of pitches. Why did you not complaint that there are no spin friendly pitches in England, when the English team whitewashed the Indian team?

I'm not complaining....Just stating thats the way things are....which is also why you get more points awared for an away test series win and less for a win at home.

Which is why great teams have players who can perform on any surface....
