You can't even switch in-country from a valid visit visa either, though we don't know the Turkish lad's visa status originally, probably one of those EFTA arrangements UK has with Turkey, somekind of work/business visa arrangement no doubt heavily abused, given the number of kebab shops.....
More likely a Portuguese ID card

Alright, Mozambique then. Or Brazil, or Argentina. Lots of booty there.

I'd have to ask CM for my balls back and I don't think that'd be a goer.

What really gets to me about EU visa requirements is not that you have to earn a minimum income to get a visa for a young bride from some non-EU country; it's that you can't bring in several of them if you earn several times the minimum income for getting them visas.

Yeah, I asked her what she kept in that little cupboard next to the bed but she wasn't telling.

No, he was well corrupted before I found him. (he worked in London for about 4 years)

Then sting them with needing to pay for English lessons so 'we can develop our love together' and that your Gran is ill and can't afford the medicine and she's gonna die, and the stupid Septics will send the cash.

99% are 'keyboard Romeos' - ie never actually bother!

I've considered this myself, the fact that it's dishonest and illegal puts me off slightly...

Not trying to be all tediously reasonable and conciliatory here, but as many if not more blokes do the same, with mail order brides and suchlike.

AUIU there is no financial test for visas under EU Directives!
