What is being missed here, is that I said buying a new Cee'd, is a criminal waste of imagination, as there are other, far better, cars on the market for the same money, and with second hand cars, premium second hand cars, you'll lose a lot less money.

Yes but the same can be said for a new German 'quality' motor as highlighted several times in this thread, what a bout a used Cee'd with 4 years warranty remaining? You can get one from a franchised dealer for little over 4k according to Parkers, is that good value for someone who doesn't really care what they drive?
