      the difference between SR and Plain flour is simply yeast. Given that yeast is a one celled fungus that converts sugar and starch into CO2 bubbles and alcohol I would say that the nutritional benefits of yeast are minimal but if you must have an answer then SR is better because it is Plain Flour with added yeast.

        I thought so too and that's what I grabbed. Strangely enough, the plain flour had all been snapped up for the day anyway.

            yes but the yeast displaces the flour in SR. So the question is, which is the most nutritious, a molecule of yeast, or a molecule of plain flour.
            Dont forget, the best part is absent anyway, the bran has the most nutrition, but its absent in both

              The 'basics' are described as 'less refined', so maybe some bran (and mercury, lead arsenic, PCB's etc) get left in with the cheap stuff anyway. Only posh people need die of vitamin deficiencies.

                    My theory is sell them and do what with the cash? If it gets that bad then all bets are off. What use would shares/cash/gold be anyway? That said my portfolio looks rather red!

                      According to the Argentina article someone posted the other month, small gold coins were useful, IIRC. A packet of flour or dried milk probably more useful still.
