Yep, its an old US airbase about 120km from Frankfurt and takes nearly 2 hours by bus or car as their is no real motorway near it, nor is there any train station there.Originally posted by stek View PostIsn't Frankfurt Hahn likes three hours from Franfurt?“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

God that brings back memories. I remember the US Gas stations around Frankfurt and the AFN radio with “German word of the day”.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostYep, its an old US airbase about 120km from Frankfurt and takes nearly 2 hours by bus or car as their is no real motorway near it, nor is there any train station there.
Also reminds me of the old shilling and 5p piece used to work instead of the old 1 DM. Used to take a few pounds worth to buy cigarettes, ice cream and food from vending machine; phone and Dr Muller’s etc.

We found the 5p thing out on a school trip back in the late 70s. I imagine the local fag machine was full of British coinage after we left.Just saying like.
where there's chaos, there's cash !
I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!
