How does that work in a room full of people, say the cinema?

Is there any 3D porn yet? That industry always leads the way, so if they aren't bothering neither am I.

Perhaps that has more to do with the premium they can charge for cinema tickets than any artistic sensibility.

The studios are also keen on 3D but I'd guess that's more to do with the fact that they'd be able to re-sell punters the same back catalogue but after it has quickly been rehashed in 3D.

A Wonderful Life in 3D anyone?

Dunno about cinema but I read about one TV which can track up to 9 (IIRC) people within the room and focus the images to each of them - which is amazing if it works.

In a cinema I suppose the fact people are sat in an orderly fashion means you could configure a screen to the seating pattern of the room, but I'm not up on the systems used enough to be certain.

                  Yep.

At least older films converted to 3D won't have crappy scenes just for the 3D factor. Seen a few recently in their 2D version. Only Piranha 3D appeals, for two obvious reasons.

I think you'll find SC that that was the next door neighbour shagging your GF while you were wearing your silly 3D glasses.

Next version of 3D TV will be beaming the image right into your brain.

Small chip will have to be installed, give it 10 years and all new borns will have it.
