Its a fair point. But if its a small residential street it can be very annoying with lorries going past. At all hours. Though I suspect it is more to do with left wing councils hating cars.

I live on a residential street which becomes a rat run from 5pm-7pm. Left wing council. They hate cars - but hate the fact that our street is one of the best streets in the borough more.
