Still I expect 1/2 of you will be off to Grimsby for a swim this Easter right ?
By the way contracting in Oz is better than the UK. Plus better quality off life. I hope that's clear.
Who is this guy?

Originally posted by sasguruAn Englishman wanted to transform himself into an Irishman, so he visited a doctor to find out how he could achieve this. "Well" said the doctor, "this is a very delicate operation and there is a lot that can go wrong, but I will need to remove half your brain". "Yeah, that's OK" said the Englishman. "All my life I've wanted to be Irish so I'm prepared to take the risk."
The operation went ahead and sometime later the Englishman awoke to find a look of horror on the face of the doctor. "I'm terribly sorry!" the doctor said. "Instead of removing half the brain, I've taken the whole brain out." The patient replied, "No worries, mate!! Fair Dinkum."
It is so funny because it is true.
Oh and OzzieExpat - I am not a hardcore techie and I rake in large wedges of cash every day. I can even see a bit of sun as a I look out of the window. Life is good.

If life is so good in Oz, why are most of them here? Must be for the weather!Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

Increase in low-paid workers
07/04/2006(11:51)
The number of low-paid workers has increased as a proportion of the total Australian workforce, according to new research.
The number of Australians who earn less than two-thirds of the national average (less than $533 a week) has soared by as much as 600,000 over the past decade, the research reveals.
Fewer public sector jobs
31/03/2006(17:24)
Public sector jobs across Australia have fallen substantially over the past 20 years, according to a Commonwealth parliamentary library research article.
It found that public sector jobs, at federal, state and local government level, now represent just 16 per cent of total employment in Australia, compared to 26 per cent in 1984.
High contractor rates must mean that not so many plebs can keep up. Fewer parasites means less taxes.
Got to get to this paradise quick!Comment
