At the risk of being ridiculed, anyone have any experience of acquiring a hearing aid for an elderly relative.
My mothers hearing has deteriorated over the last year to the point I had to really raise my voice to speak to her when I visited recently.
Is it something she can get on the NHS or is it something you have to purchase privately?
I need to run this by her first but I suspect she will say no due to, I'm guessing, not admitting to the ageing process/pride.
Some basic info from someone who has been in a similar situation would be helpful.
