I've been to Venice in December and that isn't very warm either.

My thoughts exactly. If I am going to somewhere that is freezing, I'd sooner it had decent pubs. Hence Dublin.
For all those suggesting I blow £5K on a short weekend freezing my arse off in northern Italy, thanks but no thanks.

Kilmainham is fab so is the Guinness tour. The bus tour as EO mentioned is good, prob in Jan it'll be a good way of getting round to dodge the rain!

I think there is the Jameson Distillery too... I've not been myself but a few people have said it's good, I think it's somewhere on the quays on the opposite side to the Guinness Factory.

If you fancy a nice swanky hotel - I can recommend the Dylan Hotel - very nice & boutiquey
