    Re: Falling Skies

Decided to wait until it was broadcast on FXUK which was last week.

First episode was average but will give it a few more weeks before deciding whether to continue watching it.

Surely, can't be that bad as it has already been renewed for another season.

Yeah, seems ages since it was last on. I think I read that this one is the last season though, unless I've got my shows mixed up.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it
Feist - I Feel It All
Feist - The Bad In Each Other (Later With Jools Holland)

I tend to watch these shows when terrestrial TV is full of soaps or crap. So most evening then.

Currently got a few TV box sets I'm also working my way through, one episode per day. The best way to enjoy TV. No adverts. Also handy if staying in a hotel and you want to give the bar bill a rest.

What I find odd is that I have loads of movies that tend to only get watched once per year if that (when my recollection is fading so I enjoy them more), but if a movie I own is on TV I sometimes end up sitting through it. Yet if the broadcast was interrupted I doubt I'd go over to my collection and continue watching from the disc. Humans are odd.

That's what puts me of these yank sci-fi soaps, there's one continuous storyline but no endgame.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Much too organic for my taste.

On BTVS you just tidied them up with a dustpan & brush.

Hate it when they do that…it was just getting interesting…..and it was actually after season 1 they cancelled it.
Although I hear they are looking for another channel to produce the 2nd series.

Same thing happened with Jericho. Great first series, got cancelled, moved to another channel – but the 2nd series was dire….got cancelled again.
