There must be a good way of scaring the birds off.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Only tramps drink real cider around our way (Somerset), I’m not sure if they started out as tramps or the zider sent them on their merry way?

Thatcher’s and Ashton Press are the preferred drinks of the people who drink indoors, Magners and Bulmers etc are known as chicks drinks.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I'm sure I saw a BBC documentary about apples in yesterday's TV listings. Completely forgot to record it though.

Parents had an orchard which had cooking apples, but they were piddly small things so a pain to peel. In hindsight some pruning could have helped with that.

I like the sound of that! It should give a nice hot kick to Bloody Marys.

I have 3 pear trees and they do give a lot of fruit each year.

Problem is I have no idea what to do with it.

Anyone know how to make perry????

A free pint to anyone with some decent responses!

Where's Cojak when you need them, she's made some apple wine.

If your pears aren't perry pears you can't make real perry!

I quite like pear cider (i.e. made from non-perry pears) but this is a topic me and a mate have 'discussed' after several pints of the stuff. He goes on about pear cider not being cider it's perry, then I go on about perry being only one type of pear cider. We have such interesting discussions when on the sauce.

From what I've seen, real cider is typically 6%+, so no suprise it sends people into alcohol induced alfresco living. Still they must be getting plenty of their '5 a day'.

Not sure that's true. Cider made from regular apples is still cider, and perry made from reguar pears is still perry. "Pear cider" is just a marketing term cooked up because people didn't know what perry was.
