Can you run software created 20+ years ago just fine in your OS?

I know I can for I use WinXP 32 bit...

Of course I can. I have commercial games I wrote in the 1980s that I can run - MS-DOS, ST, Amiga.

In fact, I can run software created over forty years ago. I can run WinXP, I can run Windows 95, I can run MS-DOS 3.2, I can run a C64, a ZX Spectrum, an Atari ST, a Commodore Amiga, a BBC Micro, a PDP 8/e, and anything else I've ever tried. I daresay I can run a Cray 1 if I want to. And all of this on my little old MacBook.

They're called "virtual machines" - you should check them out, once you've upgraded to a machine that can run a more advanced OS than WinXP

Is this a set of patches or a full O/S? I'm not an Apple owner (never have been) so I genuinely don't know.

          A full O/S for £21 isn't exactly expensive compared to M$ offerings.

I remember when an OS was just that. None of this bloatware bollocks, just an operating system.

Is it starting to use brain control or something? Last time I looked the interface was still using a mouse to point and click

They seem to have invented some sort of crazy finger dancing code to do what windows users call "Alt+Tab". Apparently this is better because it's different and the new is to be worshiped unquestioningly.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

To be fair, I do like the touch-pad interaction on the MAC. It's just intuitive.

                    Excellent

                    Just watching this:
                    YouTube - ‪Mac OS X Lion New Features Review‬‏

Apparently Mac OS X now supports full screen applications to maximise screen space!
I can really see the appeal now!

I don't really like touchpads TBH, first thing I usually do with a new laptop is turn it off. I find the little tit things in the middle of the keyboard much better.
