From experience a mate had with APC kit several years ago, check out the software side to make sure the UPS can initiate a controlled shutdown on whatever kit you get.Remote Management Interface RS-232, USB

Ditch the desktop machines and get four laptops. Even if the power goes for an hour, you have no issues. Router can be connected to a very small UPS.

I suggest the OP gets down to WHSMith and buys himself some top shelf magazines. Least when the power cuts out it will not effect his Pot Noodling.
