    to do something or unsure how something works I hire a professional to do it for me? Why not have a look on Google for a local IT professional who can help

            Agree. I would hire builders, painters, decorators, plumbers, electricians etc and often do. Stuff I genuinely can't do to their level of quality.

            Plugging in a RAM chip should be within my grasp though.
