Britain's goods trade gap has widened to its highest level since records began.
Over the last three months of 2010, the total value of the goods the UK imported was £26.8bn higher than the total value of the goods it exported.

I guess we'll have to live with cripplingly expensive fuel, food, clothes, houses, etc instead.

Currency devaluation only works well if your exports can exceed imports, like in case of Germany or China.

In all other cases it is an indirect tax and an easy get out solution for politicians.
