It takes me a good 30 seconds to walk upstairs to my study these days.

Weekly commute (I know that wan't the Q) to D or CH, up to 7h door to door.

Then daily commute on top. Try to make it under 30 mins but don't always succeed.

If I count real working hours, plus daily commute, plus weekly commute, then add in bench time including especially the 2009 disaster, I'm not sure that contracting is paying me very well.

              Currently doing 20 mins / 11.8 miles
Before that it was 150 mile Monday & Thursday and I'd stop over midweek. I found somewhere local so that commute was only 5 mins.

I walk - takes 20 or 30 mins, depending on which shoes I wear

worse can be a noun or an adjective, and it would be grammar you are correcting me on not spelling
