Well tough tulip you're getting one, the UK will have a population of 100,000,000,000,000 by 2015 and they'll all want to put the kettle on during the Corrie ad break.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson -
Every home will have one. Only need to be the size of lego brick. Imagine standing on the fooker when the kids leave it on the top of the stairs - now that will hurt. And burn.Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostWell tough tulip you're getting one, the UK will have a population of 100,000,000,000,000 by 2015 and they'll all want to put the kettle on during the Corrie ad break.Comment

So if we live near one, we're guaranteed not to have you living next door?Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostI wouldn't want to live near one.
1. They look horrible.
2. They would be targets for terrorists to work there and make a really easy "dirty bomb".
3. They are always having little accidents that release radiation into the air and sea nearby.
4. There would be pylons everywhere leading to it.Comment

Nope.Originally posted by stek View PostI remember the City of Manchester declaring itself a 'Nuclear Free Zone' some time in 90's - until it was pointed out to them there was a reactor (and might still be a reactor) at UMIST for students to play with!
The Manchester University Research Reactor was in Risley(Warrington). Now decommissioned.
So your info is incorrect and Manchester is not only a Nuclear Free City but was the first city to declare itself as such in 1980.Last edited by Churchill; 16 March 2011, 10:59.Comment

Great exaple of Stalinist democracy; force people to vote Yes by giving them the alternative option of the gulag. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment
