    What economic crisis?

Recently advertised a job for client co. Paying £50k. Not a specialist skill, £50k certainly seems reasonable even not during economic turmoil.

6 Responses despite being on the job boards for a week. Looking for an analyst.

I though thousands of people were desperate for work?

Those thousands of people are the ones who have gone through the nu-labour edu-kay-shun system and are only fit for basic service industry jobs.

People with actual skills are still few and far between

Heard a classic line on The Bottom Line last night about the retirement age being extended:
It went along the lines of
"Having more older people in work doesn't mean less jobs for young people, in fact those older people will be more likely to go out after work and that will generate more bar jobs for young people"

Interesting. Especially when I think about all the people that applied are in jobs (or lying about their end date).

Skills shortage mate. You need to advertise it on jobserve.in
