I don't know where this trend for developers with an inflated sense of their own abilities calling themselves "ninjas" started, but it's always grated on me. Chris Heilmann (who really is an awesome developer) had a good rant about it recently.

For what it's worth I never liked the term "gurus".

I prefer to spell it Tsar or Tzar
