I'm reminded of the birthday paradox. How many people would have to enter a room before two people looked alike. Perhaps it's in the eye of the beholder. In the whole world the numbers of doppelgängers must be quite astronomical...

I think I am rubbish at telling people apart. Once, arriving back late to a hostel I was staying at, I discovered a Chinese woman sleeping in my bed. Well I got some fresh bedding from reception and took the next empty looking bunk. But the next day I kept on seeing this Chinese woman everywhere.
