    Meh Boomed

Boomed. Should be happy, client have offered me another 6 months at a 20% rate increase.

Should be posting the banana but I'm not - although I know I'm lucky as plenty of people without contracts out there I'm failing to get into the mood. Maybe this is a sign I should turn it down and move on. 20 months now which this client - longer than any perm job I had other than working for Sockpuppet Inc.

    What's your current market like?

Do you think it would take you a while to find summat else?

No Sockpuppet, you should accept and plan to move on. Well done on getting the extension and increase.

            Meh.

Just getting in the mood like

No, I agree with you. "One-man-band gets a few months' more work for 1 person" should be seen as business as usual, not a cause for congratulation and celebrations. "Boomed" began with not a little sarcasm, but I think some people are starting to believe in it.

If people genuinely turn a corner or expand their business, then that's worth a . If it's just somebody continuing to pootle along with the same old stuff, it's , , , , , or at best.

For some people, business as usual for the past 2 years has been watching Trisha and hoping the phone would ring.
I'm still thankful that I made the right decisions pre-crash to make sure I was good for a market that would only be going up post-crash
