The Brits on telly now.....

I've not bought any Adele yet, but every time I happen to catch her on the telly or radio (including the Brits last night, the only bit I watched) I have to admit that she makes a big impression. I think the standout thing about her is that she doesn't insist on embellishing everything she sings with a load of warbling surplus notes, which is the popular style of the last few years and drives me nuts. She just sings it straight, and very powerfully. Still can't decide whether to actually buy any of her stuff though.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostMumford & Sons are good - I like the album. they are currently "most played" along with Adele on my iPod!!Comment

The new (ish) album - 21 - is good. Rolling in the Deep is a powerful song - really good! The rest of the album is good but a bit angst-y (sp??)Originally posted by dang65 View PostI've not bought any Adele yet, but every time I happen to catch her on the telly or radio (including the Brits last night, the only bit I watched) I have to admit that she makes a big impression. Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
