I've settled on Tesco for the last couple of years.

In addition to being the cheapest for me, their on-line quote is very simple to get, requiring the least information of any site I've tried. I'm tired of all the sites where on the ninth screen they asking you what colour tie you usually wore on Mondays in 1995, then they crash before actually giving you a quote.

Their online quote was cheaper thatn their renewal, but they refued to give it to me and denied the price was cheaper. Feckers
Yeah I found that this year so I let the old policy expire and started a new one at the lower price. They even sent me a letter asking me for proof my NCD, so I sent them their old policy back

As with all supermarket insurance tescos is one of the big boys in disguise, except you pay an extra £50 or so to tesco for the honour
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Tesco suspiciously like the Direct Line website... quick comparison on what I'm paying through DL on the TVR Tuscan, compared to new quote and Tesco are pretty much in the same ballpark.

You might want to try first alternative for a quote on such a car

Having just finished a contract with R*S I can state that Tesco, Directline, NIG, Pru, Churchill, AA, Green Flag , & others I've forgotten all use the same infrastructure only difference is in the rating applied.

What is suprising is how much your choice is restricted - branding is all it's about!!

Thanks for that BP - £60 cheaper! I'll look into that when the renewal comes up. Ta!

Depends on the circumstances. Sainsburys use 2 underwriters, can't remember who they are, but for me JS were about 70 quid cheaper than direct with either of the 2 companies who actually provide the cover.
