    The endless positivity turns out to be very shallow.

    The locals seem to hold the view that if you say something is good enough times then that makes it so and they have a shoot the messenger approach to any criticism.

    That starts to grate very quickly.

    I think that healthy criticism is useful but that may just be a very British perspective.

      BT tried that one on me.

      The solicitor's first, second and final demands came before the bill. They all took several weeks to arrive.

      None of the phone numbers to contact BT worked from abroad.

      None of the fax numbers they gave me worked either.
      Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

          With companies like that you are better of writing to them as the muppets on the phone don't know their a*** from their elbow.
