Got called out to a fault in the middle of the night on the very southern tip of Devon at a Coastwatch site. A site that is a bit of a bugger to get to at the best of times too. However, as I was on overtine I thought what the hell, I'll give it a go.
Needed to employ the 4-wheel drive most of the way and even then had a few brown trouser moments. Have to say though, tootling along frosty tree-lined backroads covered in a carpet of virgin snow in the middle of the night has a surreal beauty to it.
Turns out there would have been little I could have done about the issue anyway as the whole area had lost mains power, but the site was still up and working on batteries, so happy days and kerching!! Got the camera packed tonight in case I get a similar shout, must capture it for posterity.“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”Comment

Alcohol update: I found a bottle of German white wine in the back of a cupboard that somebody gave me a couple of years ago. Whilst it does satisfy the containing alcohol requirement, my low expectations turned out to be too high. Not good.
Oh and it's stopped snowing. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

To the west of us is carnage, to the east is chaos, to the south is bedlam and to the north the roads are closed. But here in sunny Bristol we've got hardly any bloody snow at all.Comment

Sounds like you might have been better off drinking siphoned petrol. I don't know if I've spelled that right, but can't be arsed checking.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostAlcohol update: I found a bottle of German white wine in the back of a cupboard that somebody gave me a couple of years ago. I'm drinking a black cherry brandy as I'm too much of a lightweight to drink wine.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
