It snowed, quite heavily at times, on and off this morning so I thought I better bugger off early and get to the next project. The motorway was in fact reasonably clear for the first 100km and only small snowflakes, although lots of them. Between Wuppertal and Köln though it got very heavy and only 1 1/2 lanes were usable unless you were the idiots in the Opel or Audi hammering down the 3rd lane. Motorway rounf Köln was clear and then I got into the town. Its just white and the roads and slippery as hell, cars sliding left and right (not centre) and testing my brakes just let me continue onwards. Turned off the traction control and it weren't too bad. Now in my hotel, couple of beers, do some coding and saw what the early morning brings (there's some Spanish rock band sitting around the lounge as well, all long black hair and little goatee beards.)

(Didn't tulip myself driving this time.)

Snow spreading from northern NL to south now. I hope I get home before the railway chaos that traditionally accompanies 2 millimetres of snow.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Starting to get colder now. Can't really see heavy snow arriving by 6pm though as per BBC report, but Accuweather's 9pm 30% chance of a dusting may be on the cards.

Just had a light dusting of snow that has only settled on car roofs.
