        Quick snifter down the pub at lunchtime with the folks followed by standard Christmas dinner. Maybe a little sad to say, but it really is my favourite meal of the year.

              Seeing the girls light up when they open their presents and eat some good food. Being with only people I genuinely like. Having time to spend alone in the "office" either experimenting with the computer or training on the driving simulator.

                The first Christmas that I didn't feel obliged to spend at my parents was wonderful.

                We organised everything around pub opening times and what was on telly. For Christmas Dinner itself, we carefully timed our courses so that we only had to hit the kitchen during commercial breaks.

                It was also the first Christmas where we managed to organise a driving rota which everyone stuck to
