Yeah, me too, a Motorola jobby that used to split into two and slide into the adapter in the boot of the car. Two handsets, one fitted permanently in the car. That was a real phone, all those lighted keys and the Green display...

Me. I just asked for for an opinion on 3G mobile phones doing the rounds atm, because I fancy the technology (World cup games live on me phone at work this summer sounds like a good idea).

That's why the only need I stated was for it to be 3G. I'm only after an opinion from someone who has one, rather than a stream of bile from an obviously very angry man. And you tell me to get a life

ignore bogeyman. No reason required, just ignore him!

My upgrade is due too although I only want to make calls and the occasional text so no doubt I'll walk in and out in 5 minutes with a boring phone that can do just that.

              Why is that then?

Because I challenge fools who make stupid, unsubstantiated statements (e.g. "oooh! coz Apple have gone Intel we'll be up to our panties in malware")?

              Diptulip!

What do you need in a phone?

To be able to talk to other people, and it rings when someone calls you?

!!!!!"World cup games live on me phone at work this summer sounds like a good idea"!!!!!

Damn, I didn't ignore him. I will do now...

I never expected an IT contractor board to be a bastion for Luddites ...

WTF is wrong with wanting a phone which does a little more than send and recieve calls?

The technology is in place these days to do a little more, so why not make use of it. If I can read email and use my phone as an organiser great, camera I can take or leave but internet browsing has came in useful more than a few times already when I've been stuck or curious. If I can get live streaming world cup broadcasts this summer while stuck in my cubicle, surrounded by my large partition at work then personally I'll count that as a big plus.

Why am I a 'cock' then, Ratewhore?

Because I challenge people to put some logic to stand behind their arguments rather than pulling authoratative statements out of their arses?

I was genuinely interested to hear your views on why PPC was more secure against malware than i86. I thought you might have had some insight. But oh no - all I get is a bunch of vague waffle and a lot of spite!

Even though you haven't a clue what you're talking about, you expect everyone to treat your word as though it were Gospel.

Does that not a 'cock' make?

                      Is it wrong?
