The shorter the index finger; the more testerone you have and hence you are a male. If your index finger is longer then you should have been a woman. Most homosexuals have long index fingers.

I thought it was something to do with the amount of testosterone you're given in the womb, so I think there is some science behind it. Not sure I agree with Paddy's summation though.
