How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

What does this mean for the price of Guinness?

I hope they don't come crashing down too much as my Dad owns a lovely house over in Dublin and was worth a few bob.
Probably only worth £20 now !

You could always go for an Irish cottage

Seems like the Irish are ruling out a rise in their corporation tax, which is one of the lowest in Europe and the reason they attract a lot of big companies. However I don't think the Germans etc will be happy if they don't, and I don't think Ireland are in a position to rule out anything.

Is the bailout going to be a one-off, or an annual event?

The RoI has a long way to go yet. The price of a pint in an average pub in Dublin is still near the £6 mark.
