Sounds tough to know what you owe, unless you actually have a receipt of any kind? Can't really go round recreating your trolley.

If you feel bad, give the same amount to charity. Easy to know if you paid though, check your card online.

No receipt. I checked my on-line statement yesterday, and there's no sign of the transaction there, which raises the probability that I didn't pay close to 100%, unless it takes some days to appear.

Last time I checked 1) Safeways were now Morrisons and 2) there was only one supermarket that did orange bags........ !
