For those morons on here who think the Tories are on their side ...
Isn't it just. You make your money under Labour and the Tories look after you.
Best of both worlds.
Now the Tories will "stabilise" the economy - that's code for "only the rich can get richer", since there are no artificial booms by which the smart can make money fast.
But what of simpletons like you, whose loftiest aspiration was to own a garden shed? Is this new Utopia likely to cater for you?
“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”
The Tories are on the side of their mates, who are not IT workers or small businesses but the plutocrats who run big companies.
To them you contractors are an unnecessary and annoying expense.
And so that's why they are going to get in loads of IT workers from India to drive their costs, and hence your rates, down.

Its not a Tory Government is it though, it's a coalition. The Libs will make sure us contractors are looked after.

True, and there's another dimension - British politicians, especially Tories, are obsessed with the idea of copying the Yanks.[*]
I believe the US has admitted tens of thousands of Bobs (President Obama was in India, on some trade deal, only last week).
In short, if the Septics decide to jump off a cliff, it's imperative that the UK has to jump too.
[*] Maybe it's a pitiful attempt at flattery, although I'd have thought it was seen in the US as rather contemptible.
Maybe on your planet. Where I live though, they are just seen as preferable to the last lot.

There is quite a bit I don't like about the current lot, but they will always look good against the previous lot who, in 13 years, only got about 5% of what they did right, and led us down a shytehole.
Sod it, now I'm trying to think of what the 5% might include. Probably the smoking bans in public buildings. And the minimum wage. And prevaricating about joining the Euro when they realised they would lose the referendum on it.

I don't think you can blame the tories for that, this country as been taking more than its fair share of immigrants since the EU flood gates opened 5 years ago when the last lot were in charge, so the Indians are taking the IT jobs, the polish took the building jobs, whats the difference, its to late to complain now you should have done it back then, its now a world market, adapt and survive or go the way of the dinasaur

Er, no. World market doesn't equate to unfettered movement of people.
