I'm sure Scots love being thought of as 'up north' like it's part of England.

In the real north, everyone here is poor already. And we have high unemployment, going to get worse since the NE is particularly dependent on public sector jobs. So sending more people here isn't going to help. Scotland can have them.

And "Up North" to us carrot crunchers in Luton means Milton Keynes
