my rule of thumbOriginally posted by sasguru View PostMy rule of thumb: Don't trust anyone with a car brand preference.
Anyone who has the personality flaw that would allow them to think that a particular brand gives them kudos, usually has the personality flaw that would allow them to stitch you up. I have seen it happen to other people.

My rule of thumb, and one I have had no reason to alter based on experience, is that people who can't master the rules of grammar are unlikely to be very intelligent.Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostMy rule of thumb, don't trust anyone who comes up with rules of thumbs based on other peoples preferences. They tend to have weak ego's and constantly need to find ways of belittling other peoples choices.Hard Brexit now!

given the costs involved in owning and running a car if you actually want to spend extra on a number plate which kind of maybe might look a bit like your name or nickname in a certain kind of light shows you to be a complete knob jockey
same goes for people who 'pimp' their cars...Comment

I wonder if anyone on here has 50CK1E as a number plate.Originally posted by MaryPoppins View PostI don't get why people have them. I don't have anything against them, I just don't get it.
Is it so people don't know the age of your car? So you don't lose your car?
Is it to give people a sniff of your success as you roar past in your nearly new mid range Audi, like 'SIMON MD' this morning?
Do you lot all have personalised number plates? If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment
