Funnily enough I find the blue double-bladed bics do a good job. But when I once tried a yellow bic it cut my face to ribbons! Maybe different blade spacings and angles suit different skin types.

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

And, I believe, the hair on their head was kept sufficiently short that it could not be grasped by an enemy.

The Old Bill do that today.

Yep. Using soap as the shavnig lubricant stops you getting a shaving rash, too.

            Does anyone shave their balls?

Nope. They feel it makes me look "distinguished", in a sort of Trevor Eve meets Captain Birds Eye kind of way.

Well I had a half hearted go with shaving with a yellow bic, sans water or other lubricants, today and the results are as follows: I just tried on the neck, which is probably the easiest place second only to below the sideburns, and this worked okay. I didn't attempt the chin area as the stubble was a bit too long. No doubt the moustache area would have been a pain, literally. It is possibly a possible possibility with lesser stubble and a sharp razor, but at this point I whipped out the electric shaver and was done with it.
