FWIW, my experience of the OU has been very positive. It is certainly far from easy. I think it's probably quite difficult to fail a level 1 course if you do the work and complete the assignments, but the jump to level 2 was huge. The level 2 course I did was 50/50 assignments/exam and it was damned hard. You could not wing it / skip bits - it was a lot of work and very challenging. The online student group I joined had about a dozen active posters - and two of them failed the exam. If I ever get to the end of my OU degree, I will definitely feel I've earned it - it's not an easy option!Comment
