There´s a chappy here who´s written a training programme for the new app that clientco´s implementing. All well and good. The training program is essential as the app will be used by external and temporary staff who need to be up to speed as quickly as possible.
So what´s he done? He´s installed it in the 'management self service' part of the intranet, which is only accessible to permies who spend a week filling in forms to get the authorisation. No exceptions are made to allow access for external personnel.
Obviously, this means none of the users will ever be able to follow the e-learning course, and seeing as only one or two permies will use it, it appears to be a bit of a waste of money.
I've sent him and his 'manager' an e-mail pointing this out, and perhaps by the end of the week, after the first training courses have started, it will become apparent which one of them is the idiot.
