Like TestMangler I am also at LLoyds at the moment, and he is right. This is the tail end of integration so it's to be expected. I am in aritecture which is getting hit first, though I am on a niche project so expecting (been told) to get extended.

Lots of permies moaning today, times like this being a contractor feels more secure than permie as you plan for being out of work, and are master of your own destiny.

That being said Lloyds is a nice place to work, I have been asked a few times to go to the dark side, but we couldn't agree on price ;-)
Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!
