Where was this uni? I worked in Glasgow one year, and was impressed by the friendliness and hospitality. Only time I felt threatened was in a pub watching England when Gazza had the bad manners to score...luckily, apart from a bit of pushing, nothing kicked off.Speaking gibberish on internet talkboards since last Michaelmas. Glasgow still is a very violent city but I think the violence is concentrated in certain areas and if you are outwith those areas Glasgow is more friendly city than any other in the UK. People are aware that violence can go totally over the top here and casual punch ups don't really happen as much. Teenager did get stabbed to death 200 yards from my door last week though.Comment
