Doomed - 2010 TD54
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Nice to get a bit of the Ol'Doom and Gloom - eh ?
.. NASA’s Near-Earth Object Program Office replied to an inquiry about the object and said the newly discovered NEO 2010 TD54 is approximately 5-10 meters in size, and is now predicted to pass about 46,000 km from Earth’s surface at about 07:25 EDT (11:25 UT) on Tuesday, Oct 12, 2010. It was discovered by Catalina Sky Survey on Saturday morning.
“Only 1 in a million chance of an impact,” Yeomans said, “and even if it does impact, it is not large enough to make it through the Earth’s atmosphere to cause ground damage.”
Hold on a bleedin' mo - only a chance in a million - sounds like the old NASA NearEarth Office is trying to scare us all to justiy their budget - Cor Blimely - wot will they think of next - 'Guv ??? -

UT sounds like Utah time or something.Comment

Oh, and universal time isn't the same as GMT. There is a very subtle difference which I can't remember, but a quick Google will reveal all.Comment
