            I just filled in the "Insurance Estimate For This Car..." and got:

            Premium: £1,567.08 for Mrs RC
            Premium: £1,639.62 for me.

            My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

                I just did that for mine in the UK (as far as I could) with prices just for me ranging from 1,169 up to 2,115. Don't pay anything like that here

                  £1,500 to insure something with power not far short of an F1 car with the additional risks that brings doesn't seem too bad to me.

                  When I were a lad I worked with an apprentice maintenance guy who paid way more than that to insure a Vauxhall Nova GTE, I'm sure it was £2.5k.

                      Insurance cost in the UK is beyond silly these days.

                      I'd never defend uninsured drivers, but with the prices it's no surprise that there are so many of them.
