One good thing about getting old is that an ever-increasing proportion of the totty population starts to look appealing.
One bad thing is that your eyesight begins to fail you just when you need it most.

For once, a thread the oldies can relate to.

Please, no anecdotes beginning with "during the war...".
hate it, had a massive crisis about it, even a younger man didn't help! it feels like i was 15 yesterday and madonna was marrying sean penn and the fashion was awful

the only helpful thing is that it makes me think i shouldn't stuff around so much, watch less telly etc etc

Lady Tester's 40 and more appealing than ever. Monica Bellucci's 46 and yes, I would.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Well, what can I add given the splendid advice provided by others so far.

I remember my late 30's. Disaster time. Mid-life crisis? Sure thing. But now that I'm pushing 80 I'm sort-of getting over it at last. The only thing that really bothers me today is that the structured cobol contracts might come to an end before I do, and just maybe it's a bit late for me to consider cross-training.

I concur with a previous poster who said that as you get older the totty gets more appealing. The good thing about reaching my age is that for some of the younger totty they have visions about wanting to pair up with a sugar daddy so as to inherit a fortune. So before entering into such arrangements I suggest you seriously consider signing a pre-nup agreement, otherwise you might find your cups of tea are tasting a bit funny in the morning.

Oh, and I also suggest that you have your dentist do a good job with your false teeth. It costs a bit, but I've found that the young lasses seem to go for a healthy smile - the fact that you put the gnashers in a glass by the bed each night is something you can keep to yourself, until you've had your wicked way.
