Do you? Now, I'm going to change cars soon-ish. I was considering one of these, or the Volvo XC90 thing. Or maybe something totally different. I want something with a big boot, not sluggish.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I'm currently mostly driving Mrs Spacecadets Micra as our other car gets just over 20mpg from a tank and the thought of all that money spent on petrol (well on tax mostly) was making me depressed especially as I'm clocking up at least 20k miles per year.

Micra is soon to be traded in for a bigger, more efficient diesel.

No car, no need, I get the train to/from Cologne/Munich, fly back to the Uk when I'm visiting family/friends and hire something when I'm there, gf chef has a polo that is either stationary or flat out (german driver), we cycle in to town or get the tube or walk if it's a nice day, for any longer distance driving we hire a car to suit the purpose i.e Golf for regular touring around / VW Passat Estate for Glastonbury..

Any of the "prestige" 4x4's won't be sluggish. Generally they have the engine to match the body weight so you can still shift it when you want to.
