I see that the police have released those Algerian street cleaners 'without charge'.

The Metropolitan Police said the searches of the premises had been completed and had not revealed any weapons or suspicious materials.

The BBC quoted Scotland Yard sources saying that the men posed no credible threat, while the Sunday Mirror reported that the men had simply been overheard sharing a joke in their canteen.
Once again the police shown to be a bunch of ignorant thugs. Total scum the lot of 'em.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Eh? They just did their job - followed report from member of public, they would have been scum if they locked them up without charge forever or made stuff up, but they were released - next time they'll think twice before making such jokes, in the USA such jokes in relation to US president is punishable pretty harshly.

You naughty boy, AtW. You nearly had me thinking that you believed what you wrote.

It's a standard practice during state visits - even if probability of threat is remote it is much safer to lock jokers up for a couple of days until the visit is over and then release them.

                Sounds all a bit Stalinist.
