Sounds like he went out of his way to avoid it...
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Try doing that with 3 kids and the missus though.

I've noticed everyone seems to walk slowly since my return. Especially uphill. I fair glide at full marching pace up the moderate hill back to my place and slow flipers abound, so I walk in the kerb. Mind you, I did treat myself and wear my old comfy and unsmelly trainers.

Here's a picture that gives an indication of how clear the water was at a beach 20 minutes walk from Cala Bassa, Ibiza. A beach a few minutes walk from here was teaming with fish. I was half intending to swim to the big island in the foreground, but turned back when I reached one of the two smaller islands in-between on my test run. I was concerned about the lifeguards getting upset so in the end didn't attempt my second full run.

Or here if the picture doesn't show up in-line, as it doesn't appear to have done at present, probably because imageshack is slow.

Good to hear you enjoyed yourself, but to be honest you most probably picked the worst past of Eivissa (Ibiza) to base yourself.

San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany) is the complete dogs arse end of the Island. Think club 18-30 and you've got it. That and people who still think it cool to bark at the moon as it's on its way down.
If you want nightlife it's Ibiza Town (Vila d'Eivissa), but to be honest it's all about the drug scene, always has been and always will be.

If I ever goto Ibiza now, I go off the beaten track, you really did miss the best part of the Island by not going North. I think the most beautiful part of the Island is the stretch from Es Canar heading up North to Cala San Vicente. You really do stumble across beaches that seem like they've never seen a person. Great to get your bits out, I swear I saw EO galloping down a beach one day big bush flowing behind him and a smile on his face from ear to ear.

I reckon it would be a top place to charter a yacht and sail around for a couple of weeks.

There are some excellent restaurants in some of the villages inland as well.

Fair enough to have a 'camp adventure' (easy now), but whenever I've been to Ibiza, the hotel is less than my mortgage would be for the same period...

Agree. San Antonio is pretty cack once you're over a certain age/too sober.

I'm not actually keen on Ibiza Town either, I think everyone's up their own arses. The secluded little beaches away from SA are the best bits of Ibiza for me, not been North though, always south of San Antonio.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
