That means a 2-hour commute. No thanks. I'd rather avoid London.

I want to commute by car, like real contractors.

Interesting. You really are as stupid as your other posts suggest.
      Hard Brexit now!

Have you ever driven anywhere along the M3/M4 where most of the jobs are?

If you can take the train and get a seat, you are better of taking the train. Much nicer especially if they have first class carriages.

My in-laws live in Somerset, so ideally I'd like to settle down
somewhere along the M3/M4 corridor. That place should ideally tick
              the following boxes:

              -no coloureds
              -good quality of life
              -family houses around 250K
              -plenty of IT jobs
              -easy commute, no traffic jams

              Any ideas? Bristol? Swindon? Bath?

Any one living in the West Country?
You forgot to add your most important criteria.

They're all amusing, but I like this one best:

Maybe you should have put this in the Business/Contracts thread.

The best you can hope for is one or possibly two of your criteria being met.

It's more likely you'll end up paying a fortune to live in a tuliphole, and spend your life in traffic driving to and from interviews or, if you are lucky, work.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

                    .
Not during the rush hour. That's why I'd like some insights from people in the SW. My commute here is 35min in the morning, 1hour in the evening. Not bad. But if I must spend 4hours in the car every day, I'd rather relocate elsewhere. Luxembourg, for instance.

                      So would we.

                      It's a deal then.
