Quite to last 2 comments also. It is unbelievably insensitive that this place should be built so close to ground zero. Actually it is 2 mins walk from ground zero and was an area damged by the strike. The fact that tehse piopel wish to go ahead with it is just teh sheer bloody mindedness you get from some of those faith.

Also comment on stupid Americans. Presumably in the context you only mean white Americans, so that's ok then? Why not stupid Muislims or stupid blacks? Thought not. The double standards of some you twats is amazing.

There is something to be said for all involved parties just taking a step back and reconsidering their positions before pushing ahead with either the mosque or the protests. But then, that would be 'reasonable' and wouldn't fit in to the 'shout out your opinion and be heard' culture that seems so prevalent right now.

"Look at the photos. This neighborhood is not hallowed. The people who live and work here are not obsessed with 9/11. The blocks around Ground Zero are like every other hard-working neighborhood in New York, where Muslims are just another thread of the city fabric.
