once we have a reliable lie detector / mind reading apparatus I'm most definitely for it. Until then the risk is too great of getting it wrong.Comment

For the death penalty once we can get a justice system that is foolproof or at least that we know gets it right in the high 90's percent wise and that is also not affected by outside influences like current social climate, media or politicians
Till then no as it's a bit hard to tell someone "we made an woopsie" if they are dead, like a few recent case's in China proved.
One where one a butcher was executed for killing a waitress and feeding her to customers...then 6 years later it was found she was alive and had been in prison for drugs offences the whole time or the man executed for killing his wife, who turned up 10 years later to get a divorce as since she had ran away she had met someone else and they wanted to get married only to dicover she had been a widow for the last 10 years. :rollinComment

At £1200 per night, Collette will take care of all your needs...
Have you ever seen those 'surrogate partners'? They are specialists who work with individuals to solve their problems. I see the adverts in 'Prospect' 8oComment

Luvley Jabber, why even bother with a justice system - let's just rely on the common sense of the cops and move straight to a police state.
Far better we revert to personal justice - the rule of the gun and the personal bazooka system. I can take what I want as long as I am prepared to be shot for it. The strong survive and we can purge society of the layabouts and scroungers.Comment

the layabouts and scroungers tend to survive.
They tend to have lower moral values and will kill if its easier than working for a living.
The workers work.
The Clint or the Duke arrives and sorts it!
Do you guys never watch the movies?Comment
